Access and Support

The UWA staff site provides easy access to information for new and current staff. This includes procedures and planning, Human Resources, the induction process, Financial Services, Research and Teaching and Learning, as well as details of facilities, parking and transport information, and all about UWA’s social side.

To use Callista you must have an account.

Apply for an account 

To apply for a Callista account, please submit your request via the Self-Service Portal. The request forms can be found under Self-Service, then under Student Services.

Before you apply for a Callista SMS Account you need a UWA Staff Number and a Pheme Account.

Don't have a UWA staff number?

Non UWA staff requiring access to Callista SMS should make sure that they have also completed a Commencement of Non-University staff form and return this to Human Resources.  Please note that we won't be able to process your account application until this form has been processed by Human Resources 

How long will it take to get access?

We endeavour to process requests for access within 48 hours of receiving them.  It is mandatory to receive training to carry out some specific tasks using Callista.  For these, we will contact you when you apply for access to schedule a training session. Please note that you will not be granted access to do that particular task until you've had the training.

Got Ideas?

  • Request for a New Callista Project should be lodged when a new development or a major enhancement is being requested. A new development is the creation of some functionality which does not currently exist. A major enhancement would be a large change to something which already exists, to fundamentally change the way it works or to add new functionality.
  • Request for Minor Enhancement can be made when you'd like some tweaks done to something, a small addition to a Connect page or some changes to a report or job.

You can always chat with a Callista team member before lodging a request if you're not sure what category it belongs in.
