UWA Forward

Vice-Chancellor's Voice

Good morning. At last week’s Open Forum, I announced a series of special Q&A sessions with staff. Over the next few months, I will be going out to as many faculties, schools, research centres and divisions as I can to listen to what you have to say about UWA – what you think we should be doing, what we could be doing, what we should stop doing, or about any issue you think is relevant.

So, keep an eye out for an invitation from your Dean or Director for when and where your Q&A session will be. Do try to come along if you can. I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Professor Paul Johnson
Vice-Chancellor

Sharing UWA’s Environmental Expertise

Professor Carolyn Oldham of the School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering knows about the wealth of environmental knowledge at UWA.

I love exploring the different disciplinary ways of viewing the environment… and what we can learn from each other.

– Professor Carolyn Oldham

“UWA has a huge array of expertise in this area,” she said. “There are numerous environmental undergraduate and postgraduate programs, thriving environmental research groups, and many cross-campus collaborations.”
