UWA Forward

Vice-Chancellor's Voice

Good morning. Thank you to all who came along and contributed to the discussion at yesterday's staff forum. A video of the presentation is available on the Renewal website for those who could not make it or could not get in to the Octagon Theatre after it had reached capacity.

I value your feedback on the changes proposed yesterday and invite you to submit this through our dedicated email address renewal-feedback@uwa.edu.au or by emailing me directly. If you have questions about your own personal situation, you are encouraged to email these, on an entirely confidential basis, to renewal-HR@uwa.edu.au.

The next Renewal project forum will be held on 22 February 2016 and you will receive an invite to this over the coming week.

Sincerely,
Professor Paul Johnson
Vice-Chancellor

Forward Focus

Being the face of UWA for future students

Living in a state as vast as Western Australia means that for some high school students, their first visit to a University campus won’t be until their orientation day.

Ruth Kastrati, Naseem Mkandawire and Alison Chan
Our future student advisers

High school students are really savvy and switched on, they know how competitive it is out there and they want to know 'if I study this, what job can I get and what is the job market like in that field?'

Naseem Mkandawire

This is why our Future Student Advisers, in the Future Students Contact Centre, are so important. Alison Chan, Naseem Mkandawire and Ruth Kastrati are often the first faces high school students put to the University.

Find out why school visits are so important and what high schoolers think about our unique course structure…
