UWA Forward

Vice-Chancellor's Voice

Good morning. Spring graduation ceremonies began on Saturday with graduands returning to campus to celebrate their achievements with friends and family. This is a special time for them and we wish all graduating students well for whatever the future may hold.

As the UWA student experience concludes for some, the next generation are already starting theirs. It has been wonderful to see many groups of primary school children on campus in recent weeks highlighting the positive impact UWA can have on young people’s education well before they consider enrolling as students.

Providing a world class learning experience is at the heart of everything we do and I want to thank you all for your continued hard work and commitment to delivering teaching excellence.

Sincerely,
Professor Paul Johnson
Vice-Chancellor

Renewal Project Update

Thank you to those who have already provided feedback on the proposed Service Delivery Model. For those who have yet to make a submission but would like to, feedback can be sent to renewal-feedback@uwa.edu.au until October 7. We will be sharing the feedback received to date at our next Staff Forum on the 20th September; full details of the forum and scheduled Q&A sessions are available on the Renewal Project Website.

As mentioned in last week's Q&A sessions, a voluntary questionnaire will be circulated to staff soon after the 20th September. The survey will give staff an opportunity to provide additional relevant information to inform transfer decisions. Questions will cover experience, qualifications and career aspirations and goals. All staff will be considered fairly whether they complete the questionnaire or not.

FAQs are available on the Renewal Project website and are being updated regularly.

Sincerely,
Professor Dawn Freshwater
Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Registrar
